We want to help spread the word about practice, organisations, research, reviews, events, training and links in the area. IT:>> aspires to be a force in the development of the UKs creative technology arts movement. That is, the emergence of artists, creative practice, work, discourse and ideas that integrate technological forms, facilities, processes and/or concepts in their creation. In the long term our role could be about:
FUNDING AND SUPPORT - supporting artists professional development, building capacity in the arts sector for technological work, helping share knowledge and educating audiences
FACILITATING NETWORKS - assisting the emergence of an integrated UK creative technology and arts network involving artists, performers, composers, designers, choreographers, other creative people, new media professionals, cultural institutions, research and development agencies, academics, writers and audiences
PROVIDING A PLATFORM - creating opportunities for those working in this area to create, present and share their work with others. |
